COURSE OUTLINE

Broadbase Technology (BBT)  2011- 2012

INTRODUCTION: BBT is a technology lab designed to introduce high school students to a variety of courses/career options and to become lifelong learners, self taught learners, self promoters and entrepreneurial minded students. Also to assist students in developing employability skills for the work force.

 

MODULES: Each student will work through 6-7 modules of varying lengths. Most modules are found at http://bbt.nbed.nb.ca/grade_09.html or Mrs. Wilson’s website at http://sussexhigh.nbed.nb.ca/wilson/index.html.

 

MARKING: Each student will be marked on the following criteria:

 

                        Modules                                  80%

                        Class mark & Journal              20%

                        Bonus opportunity                     5%

 

                       

Expectations:

·         Students will arrive at class on time.

 

·         Students will manage time effectively in class in order to meet the requirements of the course.

 

·         Students will turn in assignments as directed – hard copy, T-drive, or student portal http://portal.nbed.nb.ca (can be accessed at home.)   

 

·         Students can complete all assigned work during class time.  If you fall behind, arrange to come in at lunch.
